Les bougainvilliers

Les Bougainvilliers is in a very quiet road in Kintzheim. The village is less frequented by tourists than many nearby, but is pretty, boasts several good restaurants as well as a bakery and butcher / charcuterie and of course wine dégustations. It's well situated for Haut Koenigsburg, the Route du Vin and Sélestat (a most interesting and pretty town). Our room was very comfortable - as well as a good sized bed, it was well equipped with a small kitchen area, dining table and an annex with bunk beds (which we didn't use). There are also outside tables and chairs. Madame Meyer is most hospitable, providing home made cake, cheese, bread etc each day at breakfast, eaten at a communal table. The room also contained a file of useful leaflets on local attractions. Recommended with no reservations whatsoever.

We spent three days at Les Bougainvilliers and had a most enjoyable time. Bernard and Genevive have made a real home from home for their guests. You would be hard pressed to find a four star hotel room to the standard that they supply. The furnishings, decoration and linen are of top quality. Breakfast is a wonderful experience with Bernard and Genevive being such wonderful and delightful hosts that it is difficult to leave.

Vid foten av berget ligger Kintzheim. Vi var elva svenskar som bokat boendet på Les Bougainvilliers och redan vid första kontakten via mail märkte man att ägarna var tillmötesgående. När vi kommer fram blir vi välkomnade med stora famnen och så fortsatte det de fyra nätterna som vi stannade. Vi har inget att klaga på utan man vill sätta ett plus innan 10 i betyget.
