Small village of Corrèze, about forty kilometers from Tulle, Altillac takes place on the 45th parallel north, on the left bank of the Dordogne. Very extensive, with an area of 2500 hectares, the town is located not far from Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and Brivezac, on the edge of the Lot department.
Seat of a viguerie under the Carolingians, the town of Altillac grew at the end of the 18th century thanks to the merger with Fontmerle. Full of charm, it is now turned towards tourism, revealing to its visitors an interesting architectural and historical heritage.
