Rural municipality of Ain, Chalamont takes place about ten kilometers from Meximieux, at the crossroads of the Villefranche-sur-Saône - Ambérieu-en-Bugey and Meximieux - Bourg-en-Bresse roads.
Close to Lyon, the one that takes its name from Solomon is one of the oldest towns in the Dombes. Destroyed at the end of the 16th century by the Bressans, it subsequently rose from its ashes, taking on the face that we know today.
Awarded two flowers in the competition for towns and villages in bloom in France, the town of Chalamont still attracts visitors in search of authenticity.
