Municipality of more than 11,000 inhabitants, Corbas takes place in the Rhône department, in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Located in the suburbs southeast of Lyon, it is adjacent to the cities of Vénissieux, Saint-Priest or Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon.
Today town in the countryside, Corbas was once a rural village built in the Gallo-Roman era. Villa Corbatis in the 10th century, it only became a commune in its entirety in the course of the nineteenth century, when it separated from Marennes. Dynamic city and strong from an economic point of view, it benefits from its proximity to Lyon and its tourist sites.
Ville verte, Corbas has been awarded three flowers in the competition of towns and villages in France, and has a modest heritage that seduces visitors to this part of the Rhone.
