Municipality of La Mancha, in Normandy, Créances takes place about forty kilometers from Saint-Lô. Known for its foot fishing activities, it is also not far from Pirou and its famous castle, the Hague or Périers.
According to the popular tradition, the municipality of Créances would be born at the beginning of the Middle Ages, following the sinking on the Manchoise coast of a Portuguese ship. She later developed quietly around fishing and agriculture, gradually taking the peaceful and pleasant face that we know today, thanks to the drying up of her numerous marshes.
Now, Créances is mainly known for its sweet-taste carrot that develops in sand fields. Visitors also appreciate its preserved beaches as well as its charming architectural heritage.
