Crotelles of the 10th century Villa Croteldi became the eleventh, fourteenth Crotellio then Croteil in 1493 to become Crottet from 1613, the village has changed over the centuries. From a totally rural village until the post-war Crottet is now the archetypal village rurban. Until the late 1970s, he had to follow the herd every night, from the prairie, joined the stables of the village.
