The most famous site of the Haute Provence Geological Nature Reserve.

It has more than 1,550 ammonites on 320 m². These ammonites are large: the largest are 70 cm in diameter!

Their scientific name is Coroniceras multicostatum. This species allows us to date the slab to around 200 million years ago (Lower Jurassic).
