Town of Indre-et-Loire, in the Center Loire Valley, La Ville-aux-Dames takes place just a few kilometers from Tours. It is located near Vouvray, Montlouis-sur-Loire and Saint-Avertin.
La Ville-aux-Dames rooted in the course of the Middle Ages, including the founding of an abbey of women in Saint-Loup in the late eighth century. Strongly affected by the wars of religion in the sixteenth century, she knows afterwards quieter times, taking little by little its current pace.
