Created in the second half of the 19th century, the Gatien Bonnet museum in Lagny-sur-Marne is the work of the medical doctor and former mayor of the city, Gatien-Bonnet. Transferred in 1961 to the former home of Doctor Paul d'Halluin, also mayor of Lagny, it is today installed in the castle of the Rentilly cultural park in Bussy-Saint-Martin.
Visitors to the Gatien Bonnet museum can admire beautiful collections of paintings and photographs, the opportunity to see works by Valerio Castello, Henri Lebasque or Emile-Gustave Cavallo-Péduzzi. One Thursday a month, the site hosts conferences on different history or archeology subjects.
The museum also takes part in Museum Night, European Heritage Days and Archeology Days.
