Things to see and do

Take time to stroll in the gardens of Duke Jean de Berry through which flows the river water Yèvre. Admire the majestic ruins of the castle of King Charles VII. Continue your walk through cobbled streets to discover the collegiate church of Notre-Dame, and the clock tower.

Take time to appreciate the richness of the museum's collections of porcelain, a symbol of urban history linking past to present, where the art of porcelain is still very much alive. Also take time to visit Pillivuyt, the largest porcelain factory in France, whose products are exported worldwide.

Apart from china, other artists: cabinetmaker, wood engraver and glass, paintings conservator and many others contribute to the reputation of the city as a City of Arts and Trades. A visit to their workshops is required.

A wide variety of sports: indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, go skateboarding, golf, handball and basketball, canoeing on the river Yèvre, and wonderful walks along the Canal de Berry.
