Nanteuil-Auriac-de-Bourzac

A Bourzac Nanteuil, the parish church of St. Stephen dated twelfth and sixteenth centuries. Benedictine priory, it was slightly fortified during the Hundred Years War. The bell tower was rebuilt in 1922. Its carved Renaissance portal and capitals are registered as historical monuments since 1948.

A Auriac de Bourzac, the parish church of the Nativity of Our Lady was almost all rebuilt in the nineteenth century, and the bell tower in 1920. At the foot of the village, are the St Saturnin.

A Bourzac remaining vestige of a castle overlooking the Lizonne Valley, northwest of the town, bordering with Vendoire, and fifteenth-century mansion.

To the west of the town lies the mansion Reinerie, the sixteenth century.

Many mills on the Lizonne and Pude, rivers passing in the town (of Auriac, the winch to Fagnac, Poirier, Bridge...). The valleys of these two rivers consist of peat and sand, Quaternary alluvium. Some parts of the bed of the Pude are occupied by carbonate formations called tufa mussel, causing peat (protected wetlands, classified by Natura 2000) further upstream. Peatlands are visited on a dedicated and educational site, nearby, on the nearby town of Vendoire.

• And, in less than two hours, if you feel like you can "take a dip" in the Atlantic or enjoying a Cognac or Pineau in Cognac, visit the cellars of Bergerac or Bordeaux... choice ! Not to mention the city of Marguerite de Valois Angouleme, where the end of January finds the "upper crust" of comics.
