Located in the municipality of Ornans, in the Doubs, the Church of St. Lawrence is a religious building of the sixteenth century today listed as an historic monument. It takes place on the remains of an old Romanesque church of the twelfth century. The bell tower retains a Romanesque base that recalls its origins. The Saint-Laurent church is dotted with a dome in a comtoise surmounted by a perforated lantern, and also unveils a choir with a flamboyant gothic vaulted apse.
Inside, you can admire a very interesting 18th century furniture made by sculptor Jean Gauthier of Ornans. One can discover among others, the tomb of Pierre Perrenot.
The site is only accessible during the summer season, from the beginning of July to the end of August, from Monday to Sunday from 1:30 pm to 6 pm.
