Chief town of canton, the municipality of Péronnas is located in the department of Ain, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. City of the urban unit of Bourg-en-Bresse, it takes place not far from the city, to the limits of Montagnat, Servas or Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg.
Occupied in large part by the forest of Seillon, green lung of the city, Péronnas is appreciated for its greenery, as much as for its authentic charm. Labeled flower city and rewarded with two flowers in the contest of towns and villages in France, it is also known for its typical Bressanne cuisine based on chicken with morels, and Bressannes cakes.
Its proximity to Bourg-en-Bresse and some of the most beautiful tourist sites in the region make it an ideal place to spend a few days of rest.
