Charming little village in Haut-Rhin, in the Grand Est region, Ranspach takes place about fifty kilometers from Colmar, in the historic region of Alsace. It is located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges, not far from Fellering, Mollau or Bitschwiller-lès-Thann.
Located in the Thur valley, at an altitude of more than 400 meters, the municipality of Ranspach developed from the Middle Ages with the appearance of the first settlers installed along the stream. Long mainly focused on agriculture and breeding, it has suffered numerous attacks over the centuries, especially during the Thirty Years War with the Swedes in the 17th century, which saw its castle burnt down.
Today, this small village in eastern France continues to attract visitors with its natural charm and proximity to some of the region's most beautiful towns.
