Municipality of Finistere, between Concarneau and Quimper, Rosporden takes place on the banks of a pond formed by the Aven, not far from Pont-Aven and Trégunc. It is also close to La Forêt-Fouesnant, near Kernével.
The territory of Rosporden housed in the Gallo-Roman era marshes bordered by a Roman road. A villa takes place there, before developing during the Middle Ages. However, it will be necessary to wait for the fourteenth century and the wine and grain trade for the city to really take off. Ravaged by the Spaniards during the wars of religion, the town will have to wait for the arrival of the railroad in the nineteenth century to regain its splendor. It was at this time that Rosporden was notably at the origin of the first chouchen shops in Brittany.
Today, the city continues to attract visitors with its legendary beauty, its exceptional architectural heritage, as well as its proximity to the beaches and the most beautiful sights of the region.
