Common city of Lyon in the Rhone department, region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Saint-Didier-au-Mont-d'Or takes place just outside Lyon. Considered one of the richest towns in the suburbs of Lyon, it is also located near Limonest or Dardilly Ecully.
Of very ancient origin, the common Saint-Didier-au-Mont-d'Or begins to develop in the Middle Ages, thanks to the church fortification at the end of the fourteenth century that aims to protect the residents from invasions. But it was in the sixteenth century that the city experienced its golden age thanks to the opening of large Saint-Fortunat in careers that saw the arrival of the great Italian craftsmen introduced by Francis.
Vibrant and dynamic, the city today continues to attract visitors by its location ideal for exploring the region, but also with its amazing architectural and cultural heritage.
