Municipality of Loiret, in the Center - Val de Loire region, Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin takes place at the gates of Orleans, in the heart of the agricultural region of the Loire Valley. It is located not far from Olivet, Saint-Denis-en-Val or Saint-Jean-de-Braye.
The one which takes its name from two saints of the Merovingian era was originally divided into two distinct municipalities, Saint-Nicolas and Saint-Pryvé. The latter merged at the beginning of the 19th century by decision of Napoleon I, forming the city that we know today.
