Saint-Savin

Listed building, the abbey of Saint-Savin was built in the twelfth century and was raised two centuries later. From the original abbey, it remains today as the church and the chapter house. Religious Art lovers can admire a beautiful Renaissance organ ranked sixteenth century, adjoining terraces or the sarcophagus of St. Savin who still serves as altar. The chapter house is home for its treasure-the museum with objects as impressive a Virgin of the Crusades of the twelfth century, a reliquary of St. Renaissance Savin, a statue of Hope of Our Lady of the fourteenth or Nativity of the fifteenth century gilt wood and polychrome.

Located on a rocky promontory overlooking the valley, the Notre Dame Piétat is mentioned in records from the fifteenth century. Located outside the village, she reveals in its interior beautiful paintings vault, pulpit of the nineteenth century, a Pieta eighteenth or a baroque altarpiece.
