Town of just over 3600 inhabitants, Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise is in the Rhone department. Village center since medieval times, it takes place in mountain, near the Monts du Lyonnais. Located on a rocky outcrop, the town is part of the district of Villefranche-sur-Saône.
