Solliès-Pont is a town in the Var, which is located about twelve kilometers from Toulon. It is one of the three Solliès, which means sun in Provençal, with Solliès-Toucas and Solliès-Ville. Populated by more than 11,700 inhabitants, it takes place at the foot of the Sainte-Baume massif, about twenty kilometers from Hyères.
A typical small town with Provençal architecture, Solliès-Pont does not lack charm, in particular thanks to the beautiful part left to nature. Green and airy, the site also presents a very beautiful historical heritage that does not leave visitors indifferent. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, Solliès-Pont is renowned for being one of the Provençal capitals of the fig, thus offering its tourists high quality fruits. The many canals that water the village also allow an important production of vegetables.
There is no shortage of monuments to discover in the small streets of Solliès-Pont and testify to intense activity over the centuries.
The castle of Solliès-Pont, also called castle of Forbin, now houses the town hall of the town. Around, one can appreciate a very beautiful botanical park, as well as a pond, perfect for walks in family or in love.
Built in 1734, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church sits on top of an old 17th century building. It presents a very beautiful Provençal baroque style with in particular an impressive facade in cut stone. Inside, visitors can admire a high altar in Carrara marble, as well as a large organ by Joseph Callinet. The latter, built in 1846, has been classified as a Historic Monument as an object. The baptismal font, adorned with Corinthian-style wooden columns, is also worth a visit. Facing the building, a large shaded square forms the heart of the city of Solliès-Pont.
Walking through the streets, tourists will be able to appreciate the ruins of the Capuchin church and cloister, the very beautiful Sainte-Christine chapel, patron saint of Solliès-Pont, which dominates the surroundings, or even the Saint-Jacques chapels at Sénès and Saint-Roch at Laugiers.
In September 2019, the municipality inaugurated the Marie Astoin park, a real green lung in the city center with many games for children and the freshness of the trees and the Gapeau. Among the latest innovations, a pump-track ground is available to all bi-cross enthusiasts.
Solliès-Pont is not lacking in entertainment with entertainment offered regularly throughout the year.

In July, the city offers the Castle Festival with concerts of different genres in the exceptional setting of the Solliès-Pont castle park.
At the end of July, the votive feast of Sainte Christine is celebrated in the tradition.
The fig festival takes place in August, celebrating the fruit that made the city famous with a traditional market, tastings and other activities of all kinds.
