Things to see and do

There is no shortage of monuments to discover in the small streets of Solliès-Pont and testify to intense activity over the centuries.

The castle of Solliès-Pont, also called castle of Forbin, now houses the town hall of the town. Around, one can appreciate a very beautiful botanical park, as well as a pond, perfect for walks in family or in love.

Built in 1734, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church sits on top of an old 17th century building. It presents a very beautiful Provençal baroque style with in particular an impressive facade in cut stone. Inside, visitors can admire a high altar in Carrara marble, as well as a large organ by Joseph Callinet. The latter, built in 1846, has been classified as a Historic Monument as an object. The baptismal font, adorned with Corinthian-style wooden columns, is also worth a visit. Facing the building, a large shaded square forms the heart of the city of Solliès-Pont.

Walking through the streets, tourists will be able to appreciate the ruins of the Capuchin church and cloister, the very beautiful Sainte-Christine chapel, patron saint of Solliès-Pont, which dominates the surroundings, or even the Saint-Jacques chapels at Sénès and Saint-Roch at Laugiers.

In September 2019, the municipality inaugurated the Marie Astoin park, a real green lung in the city center with many games for children and the freshness of the trees and the Gapeau. Among the latest innovations, a pump-track ground is available to all bi-cross enthusiasts.
