City Trélissac takes place at the heart of the Dordogne. Bordered by the Isle, this town of over 7,200 inhabitants is part of the urban unit of Périgueux, city of which it borders.

Very old, the city of Trélissac knows traces of occupation from the Neolithic, before developing the first real village in the course of the Middle Ages.
