Vieure is a town in the Allier region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 27 km northeast of Montlucon.
An area close to 30 square kilometers, the territory of the village belongs to the natural region of Bourbonnais, between valleys of Allier and Cher, characterized by its grazing plots demarcated by hedges where livestock such practice of Charolais cattle.
Close also of the Tronçais forest, the common Vieure itself green, has about 280 inhabitants but in season it attracts a large audience thanks to its leisure and its lake. One step that may therefore be kidding!
In terms of assets, has Vieure with its Church of Our Lady a fine example of building passed through the story without losing its character.
The oldest items date from the twelfth century, in this case three bays of the nave, which were extended in a fairly substantial redesign in 1884. Meanwhile, in the thirteenth century, the bell tower was erected above Eastern span. Inside, the church houses a painting by Flemish artist Colijn de Coter (1450-1540) whose workshop was located in Brussels but whose works were very popular especially in Sweden and Italy! The table is stored at Vieure titled "Saint Luke Painting the Virgin" (1493) and is very original for the time: one can observe a painter and his model while a carpenter factory part! This is actually a self-portrait of the artist in his studio center!
In a different register, is housed an imposing tombstone fifteenth century unearthed in 1908 in the old cemetery.

With the blue flag since 2014, its extensive leisure center includes a 65-hectare lake with an area of 33 hectares.
