Charming village of Savoy, in the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region, Voglans takes place less than ten kilometers from Chambéry, near Lake Bourget. It is located not far from Aix-les-Bains, Tresserve and Le Viviers-du-Lac.
The commune of Voglans really began in the middle of the 11th century with the creation of a priory by Aymon, then Lord of Chambéry. It then passed, in the 14th century, into the hands of the Count of Savoy, before taking on the face we know it today. Known between the 19th century and the middle of the 20th century for its exploitation of lignite, then used for the production of electricity or heating, it is now appreciated for its charm and the beauty of its typically Savoyard architecture.
