The Pacific Steam Club is an association for the preservation of railway heritage, including the Pacific 231 G 558. This steam locomotive from 1922 is classified as a Historic Monument. We maintain our beautiful locomotive in our workshop of Sotteville-lès-Rouen, for which we organize regular visits. Every year we organize day tourist trains on the national rail network to various destinations, often linked to local events. For example train to Lille for the braderie, to Dieppe on the occasion of the herring festival… - Our trips aboard our historic train are regularly animated by cabaret and concert shows staged and played by the company Compartment 7 Cie. Our train consists of a 1st class car that can accommodate 6 people and 2nd class cars with a capacity of 8 people. During your trip, you can eat aboard our bar car. Every year we participate in the Pierres en Lumières events in May (this year on Saturday 13 May) and the European Heritage Days in September (this year on the weekend of 16 and 17 September). During these events we open our workshop to present our equipment and the work in progress, which punctuates many cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, shows…) - If you wish to contribute to the safeguarding of the Pacific, and support our activities, you can join for a calendar year from 35th. Membership entitles you to discounts on travel, and you will receive 3 times a year our newsletter that will make you discover as closely as possible the work of our brave volunteers. We offer many rates for our trips, details of which you will find on our reservation center (via our website, see link). Do not hesitate to contact us! Note: our Pacific is still under overhaul, it is not it that will be at the head of our trains for the 2023 season. These will be diesel or electric locomotives depending on the lines travelled. Next release!! Saturday, August 26,2023: train to Deauville from the stations of Motteville, Sotteville and Rouen! Take your ticket for an exceptional trip! (possibility also to go up to Serquigny and Bernay).
