Common Isère, Chasse-sur-Rhône is part of the urban area of Lyon and takes place at twelve kilometers from Vienna. Bordering Givors or Loire-sur-Rhône, Chasse-sur-Rhône is located in the extreme west of the department.
The city would take its name from the Gallic Cassanis, meaning oak, and of course its location. Inhabited since 1400 BC, the site has long been a hunting ground for the lords of Seyssuel before developing an industrial center and an agricultural center.
Nice and well located, the city of Chasse-sur-Rhône this still an interesting architectural heritage reflecting the region's construction of style through the ages, whether through religious or civic buildings.
