Hagetmau is a town of the Landes region in New Aquitaine, 29 km southwest of Mont-de-Marsan.
Large 28 km², its territory belongs to the natural and cultural region of Chalosse, between the Adour and Bearn north to south, famous for its landscape groves and small valleys conducive to varied agriculture (vines, cereals, orchards, grasslands).
The city developed after what was buried in the fourth century the future Saint Girons, came to evangelize the region and killed by the Visigoths. The place becomes the object of pilgrimages and the eleventh century, an abbey was established to keep the memory and the relics of Girons.

The first week of August Fest Novillo is the most famous bullfighting appointment of the city. In the program, the days: landaises in the Arena, novilladas (corridas for young bulls), and in the streets of downtown, Great Cavalcade (parade of floats, brass bands and festivals cars), agricultural show, culinary events...
In late October, "the chair of Day" with exhibitions and sales of furniture and development of local expertise.
