Charming small town of Haut-Rhin, in East Grand region Ingersheim takes place on the outskirts of Colmar, in the historic region of Alsace. It is located near Bennwihr, or Zimmerbach Turckheim.
Inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the remains found on site during archaeological excavations in the territory of Ingersheim knows a certain prosperity in the Gallo-Roman period, thanks to the cultivation of the vine. Later became property of the Habsburgs, the town continues to grow, giving is especially fortifications in the sixteenth century. Part of France in the middle of the seventeenth century with the Treaty of Westphalia, it continues to grow over the centuries, despite many ravages of the Second World War that earned him the Croix de Guerre 1939-1945.
