Things to see and do

Built between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, the Notre-Dame de Montligeon basilica has an elegant neo-Gothic style. Founded by Abbot Paul Buguet on the model of the Latin cross, it reveals stained glass windows and mosaics made in part by Louis Barillet and transcribing the Apocalypse and the Last Judgment or the lives of the saints. Inside, visitors will be able to admire an altar in white Carrara marble. The whole is listed as a Historic Monument.

The Saint-Pierre church, known for its Gothic and flamboyant windows, was built during the 16th century. It houses a wooden altar from the 18th century, a tabernacle decorated with a pelican, statues of Saint Julien and Saint Roch and even a baptismal font from the 15th century. It is also possible to discover a 16th century stained glass window representing the Virgin.

Passing through La Chapelle-Montligeon, don't forget to admire the 18th century presbytery or the fountain.
