Lancieux the town is a seaside village on the Brittany coast in the heart of the Emerald Coast.
The common history begins around the year 500, with the landing of St. SEOC on the coasts Breton hermit and disciple of Saint-Brieuc. He built his first monastery, which he remains to this day no archaeological evidence. His disappearance dates back to the tenth century, following the Viking invasions, in favor of the Benedictine Abbey of St Jacut.

The Lancieux of town consists of different parts to trace the historical past of the town. The oldest parts, which are the current core Lancieux, have four streets: Center Street, part of the Armor street Bernillets of the street and the street of the old bell tower. In the early parts of Lancieux beach, there are several villas like Villa Bois Fleuri, most of the town. The other seaside areas, more rural, open to the view of many villages and hamlets traveler.
