Marsannay-la-Côte

Tourism, holidays & weekends guide in the Côte-d'Or

The town of Marsannay-la-Côte is located about 6 km southwest of the city of Dijon in the department of Côte-d'Or.

Located just minutes from the famous Palace of the Dukes and the medieval center of Dijon, the Burgundian wine village is listed as a must in this region.

Considered the gateway to the Côte de Nuits, it is also part of the Canton of Chenove and urban community of Greater Dijon.

After wearing the name of Marcenacium in Monte, then Marcenay-en-Montagne, the town was officially renamed in 1783 to Marsannay-la-Côte.

Today we find in the village a large wine business, with several wineries and a former historical heritage steeped in authenticity.

The communal forest, located in the perimeter Natura 2000, will delight nature lovers and especially for hikers. The vineyards of the town are also part of Climates of Burgundy vineyards, registered as World Heritage July 4, 2015.
