Monswiller, a large village of 2,082 inhabitants adjoins Saverne (12,000 inhabitants) and is located on the edge of the Regional Park of the Northern Vosges, thus benefiting from urban advantages while remaining very close to nature.
Strasbourg, European capital, is 30 minutes away by motorway (nearby access to the A4 - E25), and 20 minutes by train from Saverne.
The town meets most of the daily needs through the diversity of shops and services established there: food, hairdressers, doctors, pharmacy, physiotherapists, but also media library, music school, reception extracurricular, Maison d'Accueil de l'Altenberg (grouped housing for seniors).
Historically, Monswiller is characterized by the presence of industries from the beginning of the 19th century, a working-class presence that has persisted until today, as evidenced by the many companies active on the communal ban.
To be mentioned in particular, the Kuhn factory (agricultural machinery) which chose to set up its European spare parts store there in 2002 (Kuhn Parts) on 13 hectares, and its new production site in 2007 (Kuhn MGM) on 23 hectares. Also worth mentioning is the Haemmerlin factory, a leader in the manufacture of wheelbarrows, as well as Ets Lutz, manufacturer of pvc doors and windows, Fossil watch repair center, Bonnet and Neumann, manufacturers of wicks, Esjot Goldenberg, manufacturer of shoe tips security.
The village is rich in waterways (the Zorn, the Michelbach, the Mosselbach, the Liesgraben, as well as a factory canal and the Marne-Rhine canal), hence many areas floodplains guaranteeing a green belt, completed in the northwest by orchards.
