Located in the Île-de-France, in the Yvelines department, the city of Montigny-le-Bretonneux takes place twenty-five kilometers from Paris, south-west of the capital. It is located about ten kilometers from Versailles and its famous castle. Integrated into the new town of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the town experienced a major economic and urban development in the late twentieth century.

Old property of the Château de Versailles, the city of Montigny-le-Bretonneux still has some beautiful monuments witnesses of its heyday.

The castle of Couldre, built in the mid-nineteenth century by the mayor at the time, today serves as home to the urban community of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. You can still find a large thirteen-hectare park. Set in an area of ​​protection of woodlands of Manet Castle was built in the early twentieth century, not far from the farm of Manet.

Built between 1875 and 1879, the fort of Saint-Cyr aimed to protect the city of Paris after the war of 1870. After a meteorology school, he now hosts the photographic archives of the Ministry of Culture.

In the public areas of the boulevard Vauban, monumental sculptures of Marta Pan occupy the space, presenting the engouffrements, steps and Prospect.
