- At 680 m above sea level, the town is spread over three levels:
- The former Village at 1100 m altitude. Nestled at the foot of Mount Viste ( 1451 m) with its farms, old houses and its main street that has retained its authenticity, with its porches and vaults. Castle Rousset, although now a single farm, recalls the rich history of this village.
- Belvedere 850 m above sea level. Climax and panoramic point of the lake and the dam of Serre- Ponçon become a major tourist attraction due to the construction of the imposing dam. A botanical trail and take you to the beach Bois Vieux.
- Les Celliers 680 m above sea level. Communal living has moved to the hamlet of Celliers, formerly dedicated to the vineyard, with the construction of an EDF city to house the workers of the dam. It is here that we find the City Hall, and the Tourist Office of the Pays de Serre-Ponçon.
