Small town of more than 1700 inhabitants, Saint-Antoine-du-Rocher takes place in the heart of Indre-et-Loire, only about fifteen kilometers from Tours and its famous Place Plumereau. It is located not far from Semblançay, Chanceaux-sur-Choisille or Cerelles.
Of very ancient origin, the commune of Saint-Antoine-du-Rocher takes its name from a hermit, Antoine, who retired to a cave in the middle of the woods in the 6th century. According to legend, there is a spring dedicated to Saint Anthony of Touraine not far away, which is said to cure skin problems.
Full of charm, this city in central France still seduces its visitors with its unique atmosphere and the incredible richness of its architectural and natural heritage.
