Villefranche-de-Panat has a range of little historical heritage witness of an ancient occupation (dolmens, megalith cross...). Old country house, yet it is dominated today by the tower Peyrebrune today belonging to the neighboring town of Alrance. Remains of the castle of the lords of Peyrebrune, tower monitors Valley Alrance as in the early days. Visitors will discover through a film and a local history exhibition, an example of architecture "military" and a 360 ° view of the surroundings.
The town of Villefranche-de-Panat and that of Arance to which it is linked in tourism offer multiple hiking trails starting from the center of towns (about 70 km).
With Lake (192 ha), water activities are queens supervised swimming, pedal boats, canoes.... Many facilities made available on the town (fishing course for children, multi-sport courts, skate park, picnic tables...). Lake Villefranche-de-Panat is one of the few bases Hydro ULM France.
A path to circumnavigate the lake was opened in July 2016. An exceptional ride over 10 km that will allow you to tour the lake Villefranche-de-Panat Alrance safely.
