Originating in the south of the Deux-Sèvres department, tourteau fromager, traditionally served at big celebrations, is a pastry made with soft white cow's or goat's cheese. With a light, fluffy texture, this round Poitou speciality can be recognised by its famous black crust, which gives it such a unique taste. A treat to enjoy for breakfast or tea!
