Baldenheim is a small commune in the Bas-Rhin in Alsace. This takes place in the township of Marckolsheim, eight kilometers from Colmar and forty kilometers from Strasbourg.

Inhabited since the Merovingian, the town is now resolutely turned towards tourism. Things to see and do

The small town of Baldenheim no shortage of tourist interest with its monuments and other historic buildings.

Listed building, the Protestant of the city dates from the late eleventh century church. One can discover an enlarged Romanesque nave and a choir of the fifteenth century. Inside, murals of the fourteenth and fifteenth century have been updated during restoration. The medieval painted decoration of the choir is unique in Alsace.

The Church of St. Louis dates for its twentieth century and was completed just before the start of World War II.

Walking through the streets of the city, visitors can appreciate the town hall dating from the seventeenth century, Koenig eighteenth century house, or a Prussian-style house built in the nineteenth century.

Integrated in a single property, a shelter on the Maginot Line is still visible.
