Things to see and do

Small neighboring town of Bordeaux, Bruges has a real tourist interest with some beautiful ancient monuments.

Built in the thirteenth century, the Saint-Pierre church was listed historical monument, like Castle Treulon.

Walking through the center of Bruges, it is also possible to appreciate the charms of the chapel Sainte-Germaine, and the Sainte-Marie chapel. It hosts today the ceremonies of the Tridentine rite.

National Nature Reserve Bruges marsh is the most popular tourist site. Established in 1983, it protects former large marsh Bordeaux and spans over 260 hectares. Visitors will find wet grasslands, the grove or ponds that are home to many species such as the white stork, the copper marsh, or the Black Kite. Part of the reserve is open to the public and offers an interesting tour trail.

Events and festivities

Bruges has several animations of all kinds throughout the year to entertain its residents and visitors.

Bruges market takes place every Saturday morning. Tasta the market also takes place on Wednesday in the late afternoon.

A Christmas market with several entertainment is also available.

During the music festival, June 21, the city organizes a stroll in the park with Treulon different concerts.

Every last weekend in June, the feast of St. Peter hosts entertainment on three days. A funfair and fireworks are proposed.

A garage sale takes place every first Saturday of October.
