Small village of the Ardèche, at 540 meters altitude, Burzet takes place in the Bourges valley, in the heart of a circus of volcanic mountains. It is located about fifty kilometers from Privas and about twenty kilometers from Aubenas, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Monts d'Ardèche.
Long the third city of Ardèche in terms of inhabitants, the municipality of Burzet was once a rich commercial city famous for its cattle fair and its many shops. Listed as a historic monument, the church of St. Andrew was built in the course of the fifteenth century. Entirely in granite stone of the country, it presents in its exterior a very beautiful Romanesque style and a Gothic interior.
