Crozet

Small tourist town, Crozet is best known to house a part of a large ski area in the Alps.

Classified Monts Jura, Lélex-Crozet ski resort is appreciated for its thirty kilometers of ski runs. It offers one of the best views in Europe with a vertical drop of 800 meters. With its long runs and many spots, it is passable by all levels of skiers, from beginners to experts. One can discover ten green runs, eight blue, five red and three black. Founded in 1999, the station was born from the fusion sites of the Sickle, Lélex-Crozet, and Vattay.

In the city, visitors can appreciate the remains of the castle of Rossillon, and a beautiful mountain church dating from 1830.

Member of the Regional Natural Park of Haut-Jura, Crozet enjoys unique landscapes including beautiful neck Crozet, or the Montoiset, the highest peak of the Jura to 1669 meters.

Crozet forest with its fir or oak, is the setting for hiking, biking or even snowshoeing in the winter. In summer, picnics or other outdoor activities are also scheduled.

City Crozet organizes annual cultural events that attract visitors from all over.

In July, the city offers its clarinets festival organized by Clarinet Soloist Academy.

In late July, the foot race Croz'et Stiff invaded the streets of the city.

In August, the city offers a soapbox race followed by a meal and a dance.

The Chamber Music Festival in Gex takes place in the church of Crozet in September.

In late September, the town hosts its traditional garage sales.
