Municipality of Loiret, about ten kilometers from Orléans, Saint-Cyr-en-Val takes place in the heart of Sologne. It is located not far from Saint-Jean-de-Braye, Olivet and Combleux.
Occupied since the Neolithic period, the territory of Saint-Cyr-en-Val developed from the 11th century with the installation of canons from the chapter of the Saint-Pierre-le-Puellier church in Orléans. Crossed by Joan of Arc during her journey to save Orléans in the 15th century, the town also distinguished itself in 1939 with a camp of Spanish refugees fleeing Franco's war.
Today, the commune of Orléanais attracts visitors with its ideal geographical location from which to explore the rest of the region.
