Village in the outskirts of Dijon, in Côte-d'Or, Burgundy, Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur is particularly renowned for the many rivers that run through its territory and its forests which constitute almost 25% of its surface.
The existence of the village dates back to Roman times. Indeed, excavations have to update the existence of a villa that would later become a place of commerce. From the tenth and twelfth centuries Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur is a city of importance with the construction of an imposing castle.

The French national holiday is a tradition in the city of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur who has returned to the festivities since 2013. So July 13, the eve of 14 the festivities begin with a torchlight. The procession accompanied by musical entertainment goes to the Saussaie Park. The associations of the city held there many stands and activities that can eat and have fun while waiting for nightfall. At 20h, a large dance hall is organized. At 23h, the highlight of the evening: the firework display for the delight of families!
