Former Gallo-Roman city of Loiret, Dampierre-en-Burly takes place about fifty kilometers from Orleans, not far from Ouzouer-sur-Loire, in the Orléanais.
Very old, the city was built in Châtellenie at the beginning of the sixteenth century, then in barony in 1598. Marquisat at the beginning of the seventeenth century, it develops quietly over time around agriculture and nature tourism. The city has indeed an important classified and preserved natural heritage.
