Museum of Géologie Pierre Vetter

Leisure centre in Decazeville

Currently closed for an indefinite period, the Pierre Vetter geology museum in Decazeville, in Aveyron, reveals all the geological wealth of the department through collections of plant fossils discovered during mining.

Documentation retraces the epic of coal, while models and objects illustrate the geology of the Basin, like this 19th century model presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
