Charming small agricultural and wine-growing commune of the Haut-Rhin, Herrlisheim-près-Colmar takes place at about ten kilometers of Colmar, along the Lauch. It is located only a few kilometers from Logelheim, Wintzenheim and Eguisheim.
Built on a Celtic road leading from the plain of Alsace to the Vosges, the village of Herrlisheim-près-Colmar was also crossed by a Roman road to antiquity, as evidenced by the remains found on the spot. It passes into the hands of the bishops of Strasbourg in the first half of the thirteenth century and sees later wars and conflicts succeed with the Armagnacs or the Germans. The town suffered a lot from the fighting of the Second World War.
From its rich past, Herrlisheim-près-Colmar has retained many vestiges to discover the time of a stay in the region.
