Located in the town of Javené, in Ille-et-Vilaine, the Grande Marche racecourse hosts several trotting and galloping races each year. Created in the first half of the 20th century, it takes place over an area of more than twenty-five hectares, offering in particular a restaurant area, a refreshment bar, stands and even mutual betting counters.
The Hippodrome de la Grande Marche is known for having hosted the Trophée Vert since 2001, a high-level trotting competition contested in 14 stages from April to September. Created in 2005, the Races Festival is the other major event on the site, notably with races and free entertainment for children.
