Municipality of Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de-France, Le Châtelet-en-Brie takes place about ten kilometers from Melun, a few kilometers from the forest of Fontainebleau.
The city takes its name from the castelletum, military post that the Romans established halfway between Montreau and Melun. Invaded by the Franks in the fifth century, it enjoyed relative prosperity between the twelfth and thirteenth century. Many times pillaged during the wars of religion, and heavily affected by the two world wars, it is today a suburban city of the Paris region.
Full of attraction, the one that houses the last home of the sculptor Auguste Rodin, still has an important architectural and historical heritage to discover the time of a stay in this town with many assets.
