Former parish that once encompassed the current territory, as well as those of La Vicomte-sur-Rance, St. Helena, Lanvallay, St. Solen and Tressaint, is a municipality of Côtes-d'Armor, in the Brittany region. It takes place between Dinan and Saint-Malo, seventy kilometers from Saint-Brieuc.
Formerly owned by the deanery of Dol, Pleudihen-sur-Rance has passed from hand to hand over the centuries, until becoming the one we know today. The town is appreciated for its typically Breton charm, as well as for its traditional architecture.
