One might think that the origin of the village lies to the Rue de la Fontaine, below the laundry. Indeed, excavations have uncovered stone tools around 3500 BC and wooden stakes buried in the ground. In the Middle Ages, the village was fortified, surrounded by a wall which there remains no trace.

The church (early 15th century): In 1385, bands of mercenaries looted the village and burned the church, which was immediately rebuilt under the leadership of Dom d'Aubrac, now lord of the village. The current tower is an old watchtower (see the loopholes). A sundial has been installed to the right of the door. The Transhumances on Aubrac: The Sunday closest to May 25 held the traditional festival of transhumance Vache Aubrac. Show review of Aubrac beef: Every year in the fall. They are organized in the townships of North Aveyron, but also in the Cantal and Lozère, by rearing Aubrac breed respective Unions. They aim to promote the Aubrac, reward farmers with the best animals.
