Pretty little village of Bas-Rhin, Alsace, Saint-Pierre takes place about thirty kilometers from Strasbourg and its cathedral, on the banks of the Andlau. Close to Eichhoffen and Stotzheim, it is an integral part of the district of Sélestat-Erstein.
The town of Saint-Pierre has developed, as evidenced by the remains of a pottery workshop found on site, during the Gallo-Roman era. Dependence of the bishopric of Strasbourg throughout the Middle Ages, she saw develop many economic activities in the course of the nineteenth century with the installation of a tannery, mills, sawmills or a parquet factory. It is also known for its tobacco plantations, as well as for its AOC vineyards.
Always very touristy, the village awarded the contest of cities and villages in France, attracts with the charm of its traditional architecture as well as its natural setting.
